We are not a building or a weekend activity, but a people. It takes a lot of volunteers to sustain the weekly routines of Church of Christ Springfield. We are a family, and like family, we all pitch in.
Arlee and Maggie both hail from KS, where they developed a deep passion for the Lord and each other in the early 2000's. Attending Kansas University and Kansas State University respectively, they both received their bachelor's degrees in education. Together, they have served in full time ministry for nearly 20 years. Arlee and Maggie have worked with teens, college students, singles, and married couples. They have served in Omaha, Austin, Tulsa, and overseas in Dublin, Ireland before making their home currently in Springfield, MO. They both have a passion for small churches and helping couples succeed in their marriages and walk with God. Arlee is currently coaching couples through a program called All Star Marriage in addition to his pastoral work, while Maggie is currently working on becoming a trauma and life coach. They have three beautiful daughters who they home school and are loving life in the Ozark region!
They may be small, but they are mighty! During the Sunday Service we excuse the children to their class so they can learn about God. Every week there is a story, snack, and a craft for them to make!
As they are gearing up for becoming new adults, these fabulous young people study the Word under the tutelage of the adults they look up to!
The Young Professionals (or YoPros) are a group of single young adults. They meet up on Tuesdays and Fridays to study the Word together and build relationships.
Married couples that help nurture the future generation and encourage one another in the Lord.
